| Johnson Home and Land is located at 235 East Main, Lovell, Wyoming. The north Big Horn Basin is beautifully nestled among the majestic Big Horn, Pryor and Beartooth Mountain Ranges which provide protection from most of winter's wind and storms and cool, close destinations to escape summer's heat. Thanks to the moderating effects of our protecting mountains, this area of Wyoming is referred to as the "banana belt of Wyoming". The Basin is an expansive area of flat farmland, gently rolling pasturelands and sagebrush, sand hills, and foothills sprinkled with small, peaceful towns each with their own unique personality.
Endless year round recreational opportunities are at our doorstep! Among other activities, our area offers camping, boating, fishing, hunting, horse back riding, snowmobiling, ice fishing, rodeo, arrowhead and fossil hunting. Wildlife and natural scenic vistas are everywhere. Nearby are Big Horn Lake, 4 historical ranches including the Carolyn Lockhardt Ranch, the Medicine Wheel National Historic Landmark, the extensive Yellowtail Wildlife Habitat, unusual rock formations, ice caves, the Crow Indian Reservation and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody. Keep an eye out for the Pryor Mountain wild horses and big horn sheep while visiting Big Horn Canyon Recreational Area. The views from Devil's Canyon Overlook are breathtaking! Be sure and visit the Big Horn Canyon Visitors Center and Pryor Mountain Wild Mustang Center east of Lovell to get detailed information. The Buffalo Bill Reservoir and the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park are only 1 to 2 hours away. There are several national forests and wilderness areas throughout the area.
